Food for Thought

The Food Group recently awarded 19 grants totaling $90,000 to local food shelf and hunger relief orgs in Minnesota to build refrigerators, expanding freezer space, incorporating multi-lingual signage, and increase culturally familiar foods.

StrongHeart Farms focus on regeneratively grown food and reciprocity with the earth – giving back to both the land and the community. Produce grown is chemical-free, nutrient dense, and regeneratively raised.

The Food Group was the first food bank in Minnesota to recognize that meaningful hunger relief work requires a holistic approach with a longterm view.

Before food shelves were a standard neighborhood resource, Joyce Uptown Food Shelf made its mark as a safe place for families to access food when they needed it most. As a founding partner of The Food Group, fifty-three years later, Joyce is busy as ever.
