This position’s role is to increase support, recognition, and brand exposure for The Food Group by leading key areas of the Advancement department by 1) brand and design management 2) strategic communications, and 3) digital strategy. This position shares leadership for the successful planning and implementation of a comprehensive marketing and development effort to acquire, grow and sustain support for fighting hunger and nourishing the community. This position is responsible for managing, developing, and improving The Food Group’s volunteer program and events to support our programs and community impact. The Volunteer & Events Manager collaborates closely with TFG staff across teams and is a key external facing representative of the organization to community supporters. This position will work under supervision of the Warehouse Manager to ensure day to day warehouse operations and responsibilities are carried out and fulfilled. They will be responsible for order selection, inventory movement and tracking, warehouse organization, operational support of volunteer groups and all shipping/receiving activities. This role will also be accountable for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the warehouse. This position’s shift will operate between the hours of 7am and 4pm Monday through Friday, dependent on the day’s activities, with some flexibility. The purpose of this position is to be accountable for the overall success of product procurement at The Food Group. This position manages the purchasing of product and supplies to support all programming. The Sourcing Manager role incorporates value driven decision making and priorities into the procurement strategies, including local, nutritious, and culturally connected. This is a highly collaborative position that plays a critical role for the organization while supporting the short and long-term strategic direction of the organization.
