Fare for All (FFA) is The Food Group’s cooperative purchasing program that offers affordable groceries and packages of produce and meat for up to 40% off retail prices. The program is designed to provide discounted food to people at risk of hunger. Currently, FFA operates in more than 30 sites across the greater Twin Cities metropolitan area. This position is accountable for working with other team members to ensure operational responsibilities are accomplished to support the FFA program. This position will load and drive a 40’ straight truck to daily FFA Sales sites and assist other team members during the 2-hour sale. The programs administrative assistant will assist with the efficient and smooth operations of The Food Group’s the Retail Team and Agency Relations Team. This position will work across programs to provide excellent office support and customer service which includes, but is not limited to: data entry, answering phones, handling money, assisting with record keeping, bulk purchasing, reporting and food shelf and meal program support. The Retail Program Community Engagement Coordinator is a highly collaborative, relationship-oriented person who is driven to take initiative and meet the needs of external partners and colleagues alike. This position is responsible for the overall Community Engagement strategy of the Retail Programs. Twin Cities Mobile Market (TCMM) is a mobile grocery store that brings affordable food directly to Twin Cities neighborhoods that do not have nearby access to nutritious food. Fare For All (FFA) is a discount grocery program that sells fresh produce and frozen meat once a month at up to 38 community locations. The Community Engagement Coordinator will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with retail programs customers, host sites, and community partners to increase awareness of and participation of Twin Cities Mobile Market and Fare For All programs. This position will be the primary point of contact with the community that shares data back to the team. The Food Group’s Food Rescue Assistant is a full-time seasonal position from July 1 to November 1 2020. The Food Rescue Assistant will assist with Farmers Market produce rescue (every Sunday and select Wednesdays), on-farm gleaning produce rescue, and work on the micro-farm at the New Hope office. This position will work closely with the Produce Programs Coordinators to increase our team’s ability to rescue and supply fresh local produce for distribution to regional food shelves. Main responsibilities include: Leading groups of volunteers at the Minneapolis and Maplewood Farmers Markets to reclaim produce, attending 1 or 2 on-farm gleans during the week (location varies), and garden assistance at our ¼ acre micro-farm in New Hope. Twin Cities Mobile Market (TCMM) is a mobile grocery store that brings affordable food directly to Twin Cities neighborhoods that don’t have nearby access to nutritious food. This position will drive TCMM buses on their routes and support retail services and operations on the bus. Non-driving responsibilities include greeting and assisting customers, cashiering, generating sales, monitoring inventory, general housekeeping, as well as assisting with loading and unloading the bus. This position will work under supervision of the Warehouse Manager to ensure day to day warehouse operations and responsibilities are carried out and fulfilled. They will be responsible for order selection, inventory movement and tracking, warehouse organization, operational support of volunteer groups and all shipping/receiving activities. This role will also be accountable for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the warehouse. This position’s shift will operate between the hours of 7am and 4pm Monday through Friday, dependent on the day’s activities, with some flexibility.
