From the start of his career, Tom had his eye on working at a basic-needs nonprofit. While working toward a social science degree at Metropolitan State University, he studied the stories of the working poor and interned at The Food Group.
While working with the Fare For All program, Tom found he had an aptitude for logistics and process improvement. That led him to the operations department of The Food Group, where he acquired skills to effectively provide food to our neighbors who need it most.
Tom finds it very fulfilling to execute his team’s programs and to focus on long-term operational strategies for hunger relief.
Tom lives in Coon Rapids with his wife and three children. His favorite activity is golf. Currently, it’s a break from the kids, but someday he looks forward to having them round out his foursome.
