On behalf of The Food Group’s board of directors, I want to add a word of thanks to Lori for all she has done over the past nine years. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to work closely with Lori during my time on the board. She is passionate for the work and has developed a talented team of people who share her passion and vision.
Lori is leaving the organization in a stronger position than she found it. Lori’s diligence has ensured that we are making the most of every dollar entrusted to us by our donors and partners.
Whether our funds are coming from individuals, corporations, foundations, United Way or government contracts, Lori has maintained integrity and care in our use of funds. We so appreciate this as we look to the future.
By leveraging her team’s expertise along with her own, Lori has helped position The Food Group as one of the most innovative, forward-thinking food access organizations in the Twin Cities. Her strategic leadership has been key in putting The Food Group on the forefront of crucial conversations and the development of community-based strategies in the areas of food equity, land access, nutrition and root causes of hunger.
We will celebrate what The Food Group has accomplished under Lori’s leadership at the annual Hunger Bash Gala on Sept. 13, and send her on to her next venture with our best wishes. I will personally miss working with her and I wish her great success in her next chapter!
