Fruit Tree Harvests
Volunteer gleaners are needed each fall to help Fruits of the City harvest fresh fruits, that would otherwise go to waste, from backyards and orchards. Since 2009, the program has harvested and delivered over 400,000 lbs. of fruit to area food shelves. To see all of our current volunteer opportunities, visit our VolunteerHub page.
Food Group Farm
The Food Group operates a large volunteer-run garden in our own front yard. Volunteers are needed every week throughout the growing season to plant, water, weed, maintain, and harvest fruits and veggies. All produce grown is shared, free of charge, with our partner food shelves. New this year, we constructed a hoop house to extend our growing season and have an even greater impact. Join us at a volunteer workday! See our VolunteerHub page for all our upcoming Food Group Farm opportunities.
